Quick DIY--Sunglasses Redo

Have you ever found yourself buying a pair of sunglasses and realize that you're not really diggin' it any longer? Perfect solution is to give it a new look. This may be the most obvious DIY in the world but I thought I'd post it anyway. It's all as simple as giving it a new paint job.

Girls Night out

I didn't think I was going to go out on Friday Night nor watch the final Harry Potter movie Opening Day knowing how packed it would be and Carmageddon well on it's way. As it would have it, I ended up painting the town red with my girls. We stayed in line for two hours but it was fun! Time flew by. Here is a pretty bad outfit picture since I didn't get a chance take a better one. (NOTE 2 SELF: Clean bathroom mirror.) I am pretty self conscious having my picture taken so I usually need the boyfriend to do it or have it done when no one is looking. lol. How did you all spend your weekend? Apparently, it was the perfect time to go out since the news scared off people to stay home.

How gorgeous is this knit top I found at Forever? Even though it's a knit, it breathes and is loose enough that I could wear it during the summer.

DIY: Scalloped Shorts

I can never seem to be updated on H&M's collections in enough time to be able to purchase certain articles of clothing that I like. BAH! Take for example their...white crocheted, scalloped shorts.

With that said, you have no idea how elated I was when HONESTLY...WTF posted the most brilliant and quick DIY on how to make what reminded me of H&M's shorts. Here is my version...


Instead of using a lace time, I used an off white crocheted trim. Click HERE for their tutorial.

DIY: Wooden Sunburst Ring

I feel like my jewelry DIYs have become a little too many which may be getting boring so I won't bore you with my tutorial. I just wanted to show you all what I've made recently. I really love the House of Harlow Sunburst design so I thought I'd make a ring this time around out of some wood I've found. This is perfect because I could just hang it on a string and wear it as a necklace. What do you think?

Melrose Trading Post

Spent my Sunday afternoon at the Flea Market. I didn't get a chance to snap some pics of the place because I was on a mission to see as much of everything that I could. I still feel like I missed somethings. If you've never been, I definitely recommend it. There are so many treasures!

I ended up leaving with two bracelets (the one bottom two on my arm) and a some high-waisted shorts (my summer staple).



The next flea market on my list is the one held at the Rose Bowl. I've heard so many great things about it!

You may have seen me wear this as a skirt a few posts ago (HERE). I had originally purchased this with the very intention that I could wear it a number of ways. The gauzy material is perfect for the humid weather worn either way.

It's getting impossibly hot now which means shorts has become a complete necessity! :/ It is frustrating to me because I think my legs are really weird looking. With that said, this is me trying to create some sort of balance for myself by wearing a light sweater top that I just got at Forever21. (Mind you, this was taken last week when the weather was bearable still.) Isn't the beige and black just pretty?!

my fourth

Spent my Fourth of July weekend hiding from the sun, resting, and watching movies. I'd say it was capped off real nice by eating tons of sweets and catching some fireworks! I didn't get a chance to snap some outfit pictures. Though I did come home with a hefty amount of firework pictures! So apologies for the poor quality of photos.
