Giving Thanks

H&M sweater, Target dress, Forever21 boots & scarf, St. Jude's bracelet

Hi folks!! I know that I've been really bad about blogging. I've just been so busy with the holidays and working. I hope you can forgive me! I still have yet to finish the handful of DIYs that I've started, so I thought I'd do an outfit post in the mean time. This is one of the outfits I wore thins week in honor of Thanksgiving. I just love brown and burnt orange together!! I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!

I'm so thankful for YOU, my family and friends!
What did you all do for Thanksgiving?

DIY: Foiled Nails

With the holidays around the corner (insane right?!), I can't help but fall in love with all that is glitter and gold. What perfect way to celebrate that with some gold foiled nails! Inspired, none other, than by the foiled fashion trend.

Materials:

clear top coat nail polish
nail polish of choice
gold flakes
1 earring post (with blunt end)

DIRECTIONS:
1. Paint your nails and allow it to completely dry.

2. Take a gold flake and flatten it onto your nail with the blunt end of an earring post.

3. Then, paint your nail with a clear topcoat (to protect and secure the flakes).

and...BAM!!!

(Sorry the condition of these photos and messy look of my nails. This was a spur of the moment DIY and I also didn't have anymore nail polish remover. :( A few washes of the hand eventually removes the polish left on the skin. But you get the idea.)

11102011

Been so busy and so tired that I've been having a hard time sleeping. boo! I've also realized how long it's been since I've DIYed! *gasp* That needs to be remedied stat!

These are just a few snapshots of what I wore to work this past week. The only exciting things about it was my peacoat and top. Go figure I'm wearing black AGAIN. Sorry for this boring post... I promise I will post up a DIY soon.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Nothing like Sweater Weather

(hehe...you can see the bf taking my picture)
Cheap Monday knit sweater, Zizibeh tank top, Levi boyfriend jeans, Colin Stuart sandals, F21 bag

This was taken this past week when I needed to run a few errands but was feeling a bit under the weather. Loose light knit sweaters and torn up boyfriend jeans are my go to faced with such a combination for the day.

Hey ya'll, it's getting real cold out and I'm loving it!!!
