Here are a few pictures of a series by Canadian photographer, Todd McLellan, where he takes apart everyday objects and arranges its inner workings for the world to see. In what would seem like chaos, his precise arrangements creates a beautiful sense of order within it. *click picture to enlarge them*

(target slouch tee, Urban Outfitters shorts, H&M vest and purse, Dolce Vita wedge sandals)

Oh man...I didn't realize how long it's been since I've posted something last. Will you dears accept my apologies?! I've finally finished my finals and it feels so surreal to be done. I still feel like I have something to do. As I write this I feel like I should actually be studying...lol.

Here a few pictures of an outfit I wore last week I believe. I scored major on this H&M vest and purse!

Happy Mother's Day!!

More Than A Mother
When God set the world in place,
when He hung the stars up in space,
when He made the land and the sea,
then He made you and me.
He sat back and saw all that was good,
He saw things to be as they should.
Just one more blessing He had in store;
He created a mother, but whatever for?
He knew a mother would have a special place
to shine His reflection on her child's face.
A mother will walk the extra mile
just to see her children smile.
She'll work her fingers to the bone
to make a house into a home.
A mother is there to teach and guide,
a mother will stay right by your side.
She'll be there through your pain and strife,
she'll stay constant in your life.
A mother will lend a helping hand
until you have the strength to stand.
She'll pick you up when you are down,
when you need a friend she'll stick around.
A mother is one who listens well,
will keep her word; will never tell.
A mother never pokes or pries
but stands quietly by your side,
giving you the strength you need,
encouraging you to succeed.
A mother is one who can be strong
when you need someone to lean on.
You're more than a mother to me;
a reflection of Him in your face I see,
a love that knows no boundaries.
I'm glad that you chose to be
all this and more to me.
You share a love that knows no end,
you're more than my mother,
you are my friend.

DIY: Tribal Print Mini Clutch

I was organizing my closet the other day when I came across an old clutch wallet. Initially I was considering putting it in the donate pile, when it dawned on me that I could try revamping it. Given the soft leathery texture, painting it seemed like the best way to go. Since I've been really into tribal prints, I couldn't help but use it as my inspiration.

What you'll need:

masking tape, some paint (to prevent myself from owning a crazy amount of paint, I've stuck to keeping the primary colors and just mix them to get the colors I need), paintbrush, paper plate for mixing, and water to rinse your colors

1. Figure out the kind of print patter you would like to do.
2. Position masking tape onto the wallet. (I did this to keep my lines straight and
Tip: Painting the area you want with white will act as a primer and allow your colors to pop more.

3. That's all there is to it! Now you have the perfect accessory for the summer.

What do you all think? Also, I wasn't quite sure about it but do you think I should paint the entire wallet or not?

Nocturnal Instincts

(Forever21 Slip, thrifted jeans, ALDO platform heels, Forever21 necklace, RayBan Aviators)

Can you believe it's already May?! There is so much to do this month, I am not sure how it will all get done.

Anyway, here is an outfit that I wore to brunch (minus the heels...lol) with boyfriend last Saturday. That feathered necklace is my new favorite piece of jewelery. You'll probably get sick of seeing me wear it...

Well, off I go to study for finals. >__<

P.S. Happy Cinco de Mayo!

2011 MET Ball

The stars came out in full force this year to honor the late Alexander McQueen. Bringing only the best of fashion on the red carpet. Ample amounts of material, tulle, sparkles, glitter, sky high heels...oh my! The color of the night seemed to be nude, which I adore! Here are a few of my favorite looks this year. Sorry for the heavy post but I just couldn't narrow down my favorites! *Click to enlarge*

What were some of your favorite looks?

I've noticed that neons have been circulating around the fashion world lately. I always loved me some pop of color once in a while but neons take it to a whole new level! Although, I don't think I'm daring enough to try out myself except maybe through a pair of shoes or in nail color but...Never Say Never right? In the mean time, here is a bunch of pics I've compiled for some inspiration. For all you 80s babies, don't those rope friendship bracelets bring you back?! *click to enlarge the images*

What do you all think? You diggin' the neon?

P.S. If you've noticed, I've changed the look of my blog a bit. You like?
