Paper Sweater

thrifted sweater, target jeans & flats, thrifted sunglasses

The moment I saw this sweater on the racks, I had to get it just because of the color. The details of the sweater is just a cherry on top--the stretch, woven texture, and airiness!! The moment my mom saw it she was like, WOW what an interesting sweater. It looks like it was made out of paper. My mom is too cute!

Happy Saturday folks!

Spring Forward.

Fashion Q dress, Ebay boots, white cardigan

I haven't been very much of a color person when it comes to my wardrobe choices. So, with the new season I thought I'd give it a try. I totally lucked out on this dress people!! It is the perfect combination of my new found love of color and geometric prints.

How about you? What kind of Spring trends have you been embracing?

Birthday Suit

thrifted top (Crossroads) and jeans (Goodwill), Ebay wedge platforms

So as it turns out, it me birthday today. lol. I got my birthday present from my family early because I couldn't wait. After months and perhaps years of debating on whether to invest in a kindle, my family got one for me!!! While I enjoy the smell of a new book and breaking one in, I love the idea of being able to save space too and not lugging a big book.

I'm off to brunch with my family! I'll fill you in on any debauchery that shall take place. Happy Saturday!

DIY: Bedazzled Safety Pin Earrings

INSPIRATION:

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Scissors, clear nail polish, super glue, Swarovski crystals, 2 safety pins

DIRECTIONS:
1. Snip off the sharp tips of the safety pins to create blunt ends.
2. Super glue some Swarovski crystals at the top of the safety pin. Make sure
you allow some time for the glue to dry, 10 mins is good.

TIP for those who are sensitive to certain metals: Take the clear nail polish and paint the areas that would come into contact with your ear.

Voila!!

Happy Hump Day people! ;)

When lines begin to blur

H&M striped top, DIYed knit maxi skirt, Ecote leopard belt, Ebayed boots

I decided to be a bit more ambitious and make my own maxi skirt. Result, a body hugging maxi skirt. FAIL. I haven't been able to part with it mainly because it was my most ambitious sewing project to date. So I am left in this constant cycle of trying to make it work. :/

This was taken a while back when it was just right outside. Can someone please tell me it's why it's so hot outside in the middle of winter? No me gusta.

Thoughts

Such a beautiful picture I found on the web that I had to share with you. I am sure that most of us have experienced that moment of uncertainty on whether to take a chance. I know I've always been that way but in hindsight they say it's best to just jump in! I've decided lately that if there is something I want or want to try why not take the chance?

Happy March Lovelies! Motto for the day--Carpe Diem!
