Home Sweet Home

(vintage Doc Martens, American Apparel tshirt, Forever21 plaid button down, denim cut-offs, Ebay Cardi)

Hey all. Sorry for the lack of posts... I've been trying to spend as much time as possible with the fambam while I'm home for Spring Break. What I love most about coming home for vacation (aside from seeing and being with my family) is how much less I go on the internet. I just don't feel the need to when I'm here. When I'm up at school I use it as an excuse to procrastinate and avoid doing homework (curse you Senioritis *while shaking fist in the air for dramatic effect*) It's so liberating!

The downside is that I often forget to take outfit pictures. I will try to do better remembering to take pictures. Above is an outfit I wore the last week before the rainy weather had dominated completely dominated my life. I've seriously been living in that cardigan since then.

(On another note: I have been working on a couple DIY projects these past couple of days and I can't wait to share them with you!)

DIY: Suede Wrap Bracelets

Cuff bracelets have been a part of my must-have jewelry for years. I have recently come across a great alternative to them--suede wrap bracelets! You can buy a yard for a couple cents at your local fabric store or a roll for $2 at Michael's in several different colors. There are so many different ways to wear it. It's also a perfect way to make use of small pendants and charms you may have lying around. I plan on making a charm bracelet for myself.

All you have to do is take a yard of suede and you are good to go!

Here a few pictures of me wearing it on its own.

What do you think?

DIY: Glasses case clutch

I have this bad habit of NEVER putting back my glasses in its case so it won't get scratched. Doesn't this amazing DIY make you want to do the same? Click HERE for instructions on how to make one for yourself. It's real easy!

Hammer Time

(H&M blouse, UO tshirt, vintage harem pants, Target clogs DIY HoH Necklace HERE)

Surprise surprise it's raining here again. Needless to say, I just found out that it will ALSO start to rain just when I get into SoCal for Spring Break. Hopefully it will not rain for the whole week! I am so ready for spring yo! Sorry for the rant...I've just been completely drenched twice today just walking to and from classes in spite of wearing what is supposed to be rain gear.

On another note, above are a few pics of what I wore last week when it was nicer out.

2 more days till my Spring Break! Do you all have any plans for Spring Break?

My Target Clogs. Cute right? I never thought I'd be a clog wearer. 70s is making a comeback people! The picture below, however, doesn't do them justice because it make it appear as though I have Teletubi feet. LOL. What do you all think? Clogs...HOT OR NOT?

DIY: Studs

I've recently developed an attraction to studs. They can add just the right amount of toughness and excitement to any outfit. There are so many possibilities for DIY-ing with studs and so simple!

TIP (for pants): I recommend using some iron-on studs so you don't damage your pants and are more comfortable to wear.

Japan

It's completely heart-wrenching seeing images/videos in the news about what has been unfolding in Japan. These images are unbelievable! It makes you pause and be thankful for the smaller, often overlooked, things in life.

My thoughts and prayers go out to those in Japan. I also pray that the other coastal cities around the world remain safe...
