DIY: Wrap Bracelet

I've become addicted to these wrap bracelets seen on numerous celebrities wrists the moment I saw them. The small gold/silver beads and silver button clasp add the right amount feminism while the leather that hold it all together give a bit of toughness. Unfortunately these Alex Luu badboys retail at about $220. :(

My solution? Making my own version of course! This was my an initial attempt, so I made a small one. Instead of leather I used embroidery string but it didn't last too long. My second time around, I used hemp. I will be experimenting more with the colors and stronger material once I get the chance. For now, I'm a happy camper. I'll post up more of my versions once I've made a wrap-around version.

DIY: Metal Workings

I will definitely post up the finished product when I've come around to finishing it. Unfortunately, I left the foot pedal of my sewing machine back up at school so I might have to wait a while before I could finish this up. Boo!!

DIY: Dark Details

A necklace I just finished making. It was inspired by a necklace I saw Black Lively wear a while back in an episode of Gossip Girl. After some research, I found out she was wearing a Gorjana Knox Wrap Necklace (http://www.gorjana.com/) that ran for $160. :( Again, I decided on the DIY (do it yourself) path since I can't afford the necklace.

Tips: I used metal sticks you would use to make earrings bought from Michael's.

DIY: Burnt Orange

A top I made from a large t-shirt I bought from Walgreens. I just fell in love with the color. It ended up looking better on my little sis then on me--so I gave it to her. Ain't she fierce?
