Quick artsy endeavor: alterations.
Got these cute wooden earrings for free with an order that came from ebay. But as you can see, they are purple. I quickly realized that either I will not wear them often or wear them a lot. So I decided to change the color of the earrings to a color that matches my usual wordrobe color palette. I will post up the results after I've finished them. So check back in laters...

Here are the original earrings:

All that glitters...

New obsession alert! Making jewelry. It's so therapeutic and fits anyone's budget! My mom got me into it. Another bonus is that you can make one of a kind pieces no one else has. Here are a few of my creations. What do you think?

DIY: Hello Kitty Syndrome.

Perhaps it's because i'm Asian that I can't resist Hello Kitty's cuuuuute face. I mean how could you? Even though she doesn't have a mouth as my boyfriend points out. lol. Though, common admit it, you know that at some point in your childhood you all had a favorite character from the Sanrio gang! Whether it be the mysterious, brooding Batz Maru, or the doe-eyed Kerokeropii...

Well last year I saw a white sweater with H.K.'s face on it and of course it was overpriced! So, once again leave it up to me to make life hard on myself and make my own. Though honestly, I think I made quite the deal!!! I bought the sweater for 6 bucks at a grocery store!

Oh also, I decided to use and make my own stencil because I'm not only a bit of a perfectionist (those of you who know me would laugh at this statement, I know) and so I could brand her face on other things. My little sister actually used the stencil to make the opposite colors of mine. That is, she took a black sweater and stenciled H.K. with white.

The Minimal Wreath

so in a previous blog last year i talked about making an LED lit wreath i saw from Urban Oufitters. but when i got around to it, i just didn't have the means to make one. so i just looked around for materials i could find around the house. i actually found some left over christmas tree branches from my boyfriend's church's tree lot. and lo and behold, here is the minimalist wreath! lol.

this is the most recent oufit i've made and put together. i created a made a tube top out of white cloth i've found lying around. then i saw this polka dot dress that i pretty much made into a skirt. tucking the white tube top into the skirt that is ready-made outfit for a night on the town.

TIP: taking a safety pin to the center of the tube top also makes a that cute sweetheart shape. what do you think?

jellies!

these shoes that i just purchased reminds me of a pair i had when i was younger! i love the lemon detail on the soles. got any ideas on what i can wear these with?
