A Wandering Woman
I had the great luxury of having a day off on memorial day. We didn't do anything out of the ordinary but I welcomed the rest and relaxation. Hope you all had an equally relaxing weekend if not better!

Shrug It Off
If ever in doubt, jeans are my go to--jean trousers that is. They are the dresser of the jean family. I was heading to church so I also threw on this pretty little shrug I thrifted to dress it up a bit more.
How about you? What's your go to these days?

Monochromatic
Why hello there lovelies!!
Even though I've had this blog for quite a while now, I still feel self-conscious doing outfit posts because of the process of having to ask someone and finding a nice location and the right poses. (At the end of it, I'll be lucky if I'll come out of it with at least one picture I'm okay with posting.) I think Instagram as cured this problem because I can now take my own photos and show you my favorite details without too much effort. Follow me @oriogirl.
By the way, how crazy cool is my name necklace?!

WednesDIY: Christopher Kane Embellished Shorts
One of the reasons I look forward to Coachella is for the flashback fashions to the 60s, 70s and 80s. A favorite look of mine this year was Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's outfit--composed of Christopher Kane's (for J Brand jeans) embellished shorts and simple white button down with ankle boots. This just made me want to bedazzle everything I own!! While I know I would never be able to afford a pair of those beautifully crafted shorts, I thought DIYing them would give me some peace.
Erica Domesek's DIY HERE had also inspired my decision to do this. Continue reading if you'd like to see the tweaks I've made to my version.
DIRECTIONS:
1. Prep. by taking apart your faux flowers. (You will be using the piece circled red.)
2. Start painting crisscross lines onto the shorts your fabric paint.
3. Take your floral piece and glue them onto shorts diagonally.
4. Bedazzle! (On top of the flowers and in between them.)
5. Lastly, glue down some gold thread around the rhinestones to give it that embroidered look.
Total Cost: $20
What do you folks think? Should the bedazzling be left in the past?
